Was a fairly handy middle distance runner, cross country and road runner as a teenager growing up in New Zealand.
But travelled to England in the late 60’s and had too much fun in London and that pretty much finished my sporting career.
Married young and put all my energy into building a business.
Retired at 63 and decided to get fit again. Lots of power walking, but after 8 years knees and hips started to get affected.
So November 2016 bought a Concept 2 model e and started rowing. Knees and hips now good as new. Have since added a dynamic rower ,erg bike and a ski erg for variety in my gym.
August 2018, suddenly lost my wife of 51 years and the Concept 2, is the only thing that kept me going. So much better than any pills. So thank you Concept 2.
