Got serious about fitness in my late 40s to cope with some physical setbacks; discovered I enjoyed the process. Wouldn’t say I’m especially fast or strong nearly 15 years later, but I compare myself to pretty fast and strong people when I say that. Strava tells me I’ve logged 16,000 miles in the past 10 years so it seems like a good time to log more winter effort even if the roads are icy.
