I am blessed to live on the beach in a beautiful part of southern New South Wales, Australia, with ocean, lake and estuaries at my doorstep. I'm a newcomer to indoor rowing, using it primarily as a training tool for dragon boating and outrigger canoeing. I purchased a Concept 2 RowERG in 2023. I've competed in four Australian Dragon Boat Championships, including three as a member of the NSW State Snr-C (over 60s) team, and am a member of the 2026 Regional Championship team, winning Gold in the 1,000m turns race.

Cardiovascular disease and a heart attack in late 2025 has slowed me up a bit, but my cardiologist is encouraging me to keep fit and keep moving. So my aim in the 2026-27 season is to reach the million metre mark. I also cross train with cycling, swimming and gym.
