Drag the River

Scorpio...our head coach, once said that "a good rower should be able to drag a whole river." That's been our mission since Scorpio has been at our helm. It made sense to name the team after his bold statement. Rowing on this team only has one rule, you don't work, you don't eat. Although this team is build on hard work, it pays off all in the end. Often times the hard work requires multiple Concept 2 replacement parts on the rower and bike. Because of the excessive amount of worn components we have decided to capitalize on it and created what we collectively call a graveyard. According to Scorpio, it's a great "concept". The nick names for each team member are derived from the most worn component replacements. In Max's case, due to the amount of bent bicycle crank shafts, he has been donned the nickname "The "Crank Shaft Riff Raff". Brant has been nicknamed "The Chain Ripper" due to the shear amount of chain linkages shattered during the 2024 Fall Team Challenge. Rather than constantly bother the Concept 2 repair department, Scorpio has a much different approach. For every pin that is awarded, it is melted down to make replacement components. As one could imagine, our bike and rowing machine components are quite "decorated" with previously awarded pins. Pins are not the only item that is repurposed, shirts are cut up to make sweat rags. Thanks for stopping by to check out Drag the River.
