This year, I’m rowing with a little extra purpose.

I row for the Diamonds and continue to support Concept2’s selected charities, but I’m also using my meters to help shine a light on Alzheimer’s — a cause close to my heart.

At a recent event, I had the privilege of getting to know a remarkable couple and their friends who completed a cross-country cycling journey from Portland, OR to Portland, ME to support Alzheimer's. They are producing a full-length documentary called "Racing Al". Their courage and heart inspired me.

After watching the following short Racing Al trailer, I realized that perhaps we can all do just a little bit more — and I was compelled to double my original goal this year:
